I'm wondering if there's a way I can diagnose if something is wrong with my hardware, or if the game itself is messing up (and hopefully fix whatever's wrong). Hi all, I've recently built a new pc (specs in profile) and for some reason when I run Max Payne 3, a game that used to run pretty much flawlessly on my old sandy bridge i7 + geforce 560 ti, I'm getting absolutely unplayable framerates. Disabled onboard Killer NIC, enabled Intel NIC, and disabled forced HPET with bcdedit /set useplatformclock falseĪpparently EVGA motherboards don't play nice with HPET.
